Dr. Xiao Chen was invited to collaborate with Bard US-China Institute (affiliated with Bard Conservatory of Music in New York) to design a piano course and a teaching book for the young musicians in Chengdu, China. This piano course is specifically designed for a beginning piano group class for young musicians aged 5-9. The course includes piano performance, techniques, musicianship, music theory, and sight reading training. Besides, the course also focuses on chamber music studies; students will have the opportunity to experience piano ensemble and learn about collaboration skills.
